This is the story of My Inspiration. Think about what motivates you to get your inspiration. Inspiration can come from anywhere, but mine has always come from one place, my family. They give me the strength to keep moving forward, to grow, and to become better every single day. They deserve the best life possible, and that means I sometimes have to push myself to change, to focus, and to keep believing. When life gets tough or distractions sneak in, nothing gives me a stronger boost than being surrounded by the people I love.
This is the story of my family, my inspiration, and the motivation that keeps me going.
Where My Family Inspiration Began
I Love a Good College Football Game
I am a dye-hard Auburn fan—orange and blue pompom in hand and yelling “War Eagle” loud enough to shake the stands! College football, especially an SEC game, feels like a staple in every Southern household. And make no mistake, I am no fair-weather fan. Auburn pride runs deep in me.
As a student at Auburn University, I met my future husband, Michael. He grew up in Auburn too—his dad was Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Our ties to Auburn are strong, and the campus forever feels like home. Auburn is known as “the loveliest village on the plains,” but to me it became so much more.
At Auburn, I learned not only about textbooks and careers—I learned to believe. Auburn has a creed, one that teaches you to stand firm in your values and believe in yourself. I didn’t realize how powerful those words would become in my life until years later.
I Believe
Belief is more than hope—it’s survival, strength, and grit.
After graduation, Michael and I drove across the country to San Francisco for his new job. It was my first real test to believe in myself. Finding work was not easy. Rejections piled up. Tears came. And through it all, my mom, who never wanted me to leave in the first place, kept encouraging me. Her support helped me know that something good was waiting for me. And she was right. I landed my first corporate job, which grew into a ten-year career with Macy’s/Rich’s. That season of life taught me that belief works, if you do not give up.
Belief has carried me through everything. Even when the world had plenty to say about Auburn and Cam Newton, I kept on believing. That is what Auburn people do. And I believed my Tigers all the way to Phoenix, where I proudly watched them win the National Championship. That was one good football game!
Believe in Your Family – My Inspiration
Michael has worked at the same company for 22 years, excelling year after year. My belief in him runs through my whole heart, and I have watched him rise to every challenge. His dedication has blessed our family in countless ways. More than awards and achievements, he inspires me daily to recognize that I, too, can rise higher.
Our greatest challenge came when we decided to become parents. It was not an easy road. Struggles and disappointments met us at every turn, but my heart kept going back to the Creed. I Believe. I believed that motherhood was my calling, and I believed that God would provide.
And He did. We were blessed with a beautiful, strong-willed daughter who knows what she wants and is not afraid to chase it. She inspires me just as much as I inspire her. Now she is at Auburn herself, learning what it means to “believe.” She is proudly part of the Class of 2026!

Today, I carry that same spirit of belief into my online journey. I believe I can touch people’s lives in a positive way. I believe I can help others find their path to a better future. And I believe you can too.
