Inspiration can come from anywhere! Mine comes from my family. I want to be better for them and stronger too because they deserve the best in life possible, even if that means changing some things about myself along the way. I tend to lose focus often on what is going on around me while working. There is nothing quite like being surrounded by your loved ones to give you that extra boost of motivation. I am going to tell you a story about my Family and my Inspiration and my Motivation!
Where my Family Inspiration Began
I Love a Good College Football Game
I am a “Dye Hard” Auburn fan. It doesn’t matter what team you root for, I will always have an orange and blue pompom cheering hard. I absolutely love a good college football game; SEC game to be EXACT!! I will not hold it against anyone to root for their team, but I will scream loud and proud for my own! A fair-weather fan I am NOT, nor am I a bandwagon fan. I believe it is a staple in a southern household.
As a student at Auburn University, I met my future husband, Michael, and learned many things. He grew up there too! His dad was Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. We are tied to this amazing school on so many levels. Auburn, commonly known as the “loveliest village on the plains” has a place in my heart from then until now; it will ALWAYS feel like home. I learned many things at Auburn, but I truly feel like I learned to BELIEVE there. You see, Auburn has a creed and I don’t think I realized how important it would become in my life until some years down the road. You can modify it to your own needs, but it is close to my heart always.
I Believe
Believing in something is an essential part of survival, of living, of winning. When I graduated, Michael and I drove across country to San Francisco for his new job. It was time to BELIVE in myself that I would find something. It took time, a lot of rejection, tears and some motivation from my mom, who didn’t want me to go in the first place, but supported and encouraged me none the less. I found what would become an incredible first job which led to a 10 year career in the corporate office’s with Macy’s/Rich’s. Proving to me that I could do this!
Over the years I continue to believe…different things, different beliefs…doesn’t really matter what they are, as long as you believe. There was a time when when people had nothing but negative things to say about Auburn and Cam Newton, but I continue to believe because that is what our Auburn Family does. I followed them to Phoenix and watched them win a National Championship with confidence because I believed that my team could! Now that was a good college football game!

My husband has been at the same company for 22 years and I support him whole heartedly. I BELIEVE in him as he rises to every challenge and thrives, winning award after award for superior sales achievement. Knowing that you have someone’s unconditional support can help reduce the stress and help you achieve so much more. We have been blessed with many things due to his achievements. My husband inspires me everyday to continue my journey toward self fulfillment. Recognizing that I can be more.
My husband and I faced many challenges when we decided to become parents. We faced struggles at every turn, but my mind always returned to My Creed. I Believe! Being a mother is what I BELIEVE is my path. I BELIEVE I can do this and I BELIEVE in my GOD that he will provide. I have been blessed with a beautiful, smart, strong willed daughter who will go far in life because I BELIEVE she will. She knows what she wants in life and is not afraid to go out and get it. A now my beautiful daughter is embarking on her very own journey to learn what it is like to “BELIEVE” in Auburn and love it! She is a Freshman and will graduate with the Class of 2026!!
