Would you have ever imagined protein popcorn? I know I didn’t! But here it is. As we have all become more health-conscious, it is increasingly difficult to find a healthy snack that we really like. Seriously. What good is a snack if it has a funny taste? Well, now we have it.
Almost Everyone Loves Popcorn
I have never met anyone that does not like popcorn! Maybe they don’t like some of the wilder flavor variations, but they do love popcorn. For many of us, it was “the” go-to snack for the family. Early in my life, popcorn was made in a pan, on the stove, and the kernels came in a bag. (Note that this was before the air poppers came along). There was one pan for the with the oil to pop the corn, and another pan to melt the butter! Mmmm. I would always melt extra butter! Then we would all watch TV together while munching on our homemade popcorn.
Just like everything else, things began to change. The next thing you knew, there were air poppers. And then microwaves, along with popcorn, you could simply put in the microwave. Voila! Even though I still loved the popcorn, it was just not quite the same. Along the way, you also learned that all that butter was not exactly healthy. Dang! That sure takes the fun out of it!
